Brisbane Neighborhood

Boise, Idaho
Brisbane Neighborhood's a northwest Boise subdivision, built in the late 90s, immediately north of Pierce Park Elementary.
We take pride in being a small, quiet, and affordable neighborhood.
The map below shows our subdivision's boundaries (purple) and nearby landmarks.
Brisbane subdivision has 3 common lots:
a path to the school and points west off Kangaroo Ct
a large drainage basin between Kangaroo and Fenwick AveĀ
the entry island on Gold Coast St
Those lots are owned by Brisbane Neighborhood Association (aka Brisbane HOA) which all subdivision property owners are equal members/owners of. Common lot upkeep and improvements are paid for by members through an annual assessment. For details see our documents. The annual assessment for 2026 is $120 (reduced from our $150 historical average.) Invoices will mail early May 2026.
Elections, planning/budget, and setting annual assessment happens at our annual meeting, held in late April / early May. Our most recent meeting was April 28th 2026. See documents for minutes. Expect mailed announcement to property address, or another previously coordinated address, for 2027's meeting in early April.
Current board is Wade (president, wade@brisbaneboise.org), Dan (treasurer), and Justin with over 40 combined years living in the subdivision.
In 2025 we replaced the main/drain valve and the backflow preventer in the drainage lot, and relocated the valve/backflow to make future maintenance easier.
In 2023 we worked with the school to remove a bollard that blocked access for people using strollers/walkers.
In 2022 we rebuilt the island after a collision in 2020. The new design reduces water & maintenance frequency.
In 2018 we replaced grass in the path area with lava rock. The backflow there was due for replacement, and the pines are established enough to not need suplemental water. Turning water off in that lot was our first big cost-saving move.
The drainage lot fence been damaged many times by snow removal and drivers. As costs rose we compromised on repair vs. removal, and continuing removal of street-facing portions as volunteer labor allows is our current plan. Ada County Highway Department limits what we can do on the basin floor, but shade trees on slopes is an option if neighbors want it.
